Question Lenovo G580 will not stop updating.

My Laptop has been updating for over a week and the update will not end. I have taken out the battery and turned it off almost every day, but it keeps showing the update sign. Can anyone provide a solution or let me know what this means? Thank you.

Need some more details, updating as in Windows updates? What exactly do you see happening? What update is it stuck on? Did you try to do a restore to a saved restore point before the update started?
