Lenovo Ideapad: after water spill, no screen

I have power but no screen, at all. I don't have sound but that might be cured if I could see what I am doing.

You probably don't even have a working machine, just a working power button. If an external monitor doesn't work, give up on the system because it'll be more expensive to fix than to replace.
