Question Lenovo T 520

I own 2012 T-520 model of Lenovo. I don't use it for many things. I only use it for net surfing and MS office.

Naturally as it is old, it has slowed down a bit. It is core I-5 Processor with 8GB RAM. Is there anything I can do with this laptop to make it as fast as current laptops.

Install a solid state drive and do a clean Windows setup on it, that will make it run as fast as it can, much better than when it was new.
