Lenovo USB 3.0 port not working

I have a Lenovo carbon x1 and one of the USB ports does not accept any data from the usb stick, it will provide power and allow me to browse my phone, I have tried installing drivers on my new computer and it doesn't do anything, I'm really confused

Try a different USB stick with it. Check Device Manager for anything with an error. If that all looks good but no USB stick works, contact Lenovo for support, maybe something wrong with the port.
