Lenovo Y400 vs T430s

Hey everyone. Just looking for a little advice here. I'm going to college this fall and am getting a new laptop to boot. I am an avid gamer on my PS3 and have always wanted to try PC gaming. But, I also want a computer that functions well outside of gaming.

Any sort of feedback would be much appreciated. Also, the price differential makes the Y400 about $240 more expensive after the T430s 5% discount offered online. Just want to make sure I'm getting a good value as well. Again, thank you in advance.

The Y400 easily. If you don't mind Windows 8, it will outperform the T430 (as it should) in every aspect, and it's still a really good value.
