I have had my Lenovo y410P for 4 months now and during the first three months I hardly had any problems on it at all besides the infrequent crash after 3 or 4 hours of gaming. However recently whenever I try to play a game that is somewhat graphically demanding the laptop freezes up within a matter of minutes, either going to a black screen where I can still hear the sound, or simply freezing up. However when I play a game like lol or hon it works perfectly for hours on end. I'm not sure if this is a problem with my gpu (GT 750m) running too hot or with something else. Also this was kind of strange but about the same time I started having that problem, I noticed that whenever I did not have my AC adapter plugged in the laptop would run extremely sluggishly, making everything unplayable.
By the way I have updated all the drivers from Lenovo’s site and still have these problems.

well in the bios on battery it sets it to save power.

As far as gpu wise Install afterburner and watch your temps, I would update your driver from nvidias site and not lenovos,

The laptop intentionally slows itself down when running on battery power. It shouldnt affect everyday tasks, but it might slow down games quite a bit
