Lenovo Y700 Low Performance on Battery

My game lags when you unplug it from the charger.
I would hit above 60fps on charge but it drops to 30fps + some lag when unplugged.

Does anyone else have the same laptop?
Is there anyway I could fix this?

Laptops are designed to save power and extend usage when it's not plugged in. Check your Power Save settings. There's likely two sets: one for plugged in and one for unplugged. Check to see if there are any differences.

Your power settings will reduce cpu cores and throttle/disable the discrete gpu on battery. If you go to power settings set min and max cores for battery profile and set to always use discrete gpu. (you might get 20 minutes on battery mind)
