Lenovo Yoga 2 laptop. Second monitor has stopped displaying even though it's still working.

I've recently updated Windows 10 on my yoga 2 laptop and suspiciously my laptop can no longer detect a second screen. I've had enough problems recently following updates to suspect that yet again Windows is messing with my setup. I've checked the monitor on someone else's laptop and it works perfectly and I've swapped between three different HDMI cables and nothing. It's worked fine up till now. I've tried downloading the driveer software for the monitor but still nothing. Please any suggestions? I'm not massively technical and this issue is driving me nuts.

Personally, I think it was a bad update or Win10 which is junk IMO.

Thanks for the help and I tried these steps as suggested, I also tried installing the Displaylinks as suggested in the next thread after. The monitor flickers occasionally, but still isn't working. As I said I've already swapped out the cables three times all with the same effect. Any other ideas please?

I have a Lenovo B50-80 and had the same problem. I went on to the Lenovo support site and downloaded the BIOS update utility (http/support.lenovo.com/nz/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/Lenovo-B-Series-laptops/Lenovo-B50-80-Notebook/downloads/DS102219). After installing an update to the BIOS the problem was fixed. I Hope this helps.
