Lenovo Z580 low on performance

Hello, I have a Lenovo Z580 laptop with these specs:

Processor: Intel Core i7 3612QM
GPU NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M
RAM: 8GB DDR3
HDD: 750GB at 5400rmp

And the problem is, the laptop seems to be low on power. I can;t play games on good resolution. It's pluged in during game play, all laptop drivers including Nvidia drivers are up to date and I can't figure out what's the problem with it.

check to if your nvidia card is working perfectly. if everything is ok then use iobit gamebooster

Your HDD is not very fast, so what games are we talking about?
Offline or online?
What powermode is your laptop set to? Is the Lenovo Power Management installed? What is that set to?
