LG 65UJ6300 TruMotion will NOT stay off once set

Has anyone figured a way to keep TruMotion from turning back on every time the TV power is cycled or input is changed?

TruMotion simply ruins the cinematic experience for me.

Some suggestion that Demo mode was enabled—it is not. The set is operating in Home mode.

We were watching a Netflix original last night. Had to turn TruMotion off again, as it set itself to Smooth without user input. After a couple episodes played, TruMotion came back on by itself.

Is every television LG makes unable to remember user settings for more than a few minutes?

Do they make more money by forcing the use of TruMotion through some sort of licensing deal?
