My remote is not working properly. The volume control works okay but the channel selector doesn't work at all. Also, the mute button doesn't work but I can mute using the smplink button! Fav and info buttons don't work. Can the remote be reset? installed new batteries. Suspect a bad remote.

No reset , the remote is failing.
