We have an antenna/reception issue with our LG 55" TV, in that the HD antenna only receives the same 3 channels as the TV tuner w/out antenna receives. We tried the $20, $40, $80 set-top antennas, and even the $100 antenna with a 30' coax cable so I was able to stand in the front yard, antenna in the air and pointing east toward TV Tower Road (yep, tha's what it's called), and still the same 3 channels. So I have to assume the LG TV is not recognizing the antenna(s). The $20 antennas work on the other TVs in the house, giving us some 30 channels from Raleigh, as well as Greensboro (west) and Fayetteville (south).
Is it possible that LG has some setting we're unaware of to enable/disable the antenna/coax connection?

Yes, we let the scan run through all the options (antenna, catv, digital, etc). Without anything connected (no antenna, no cable), we pick up 3 channels (ABC affiliate main HDTV channel, and their 2 standard def ones, so 11.1, 11.2, 11.3). When we hook up any of the aforementioned antennas and rescan, we receive the same three channels.
So it would seem the internal tuner is picking up the 3 channels, and the antenna connection is not being recognized by the tuner?
