LG TV with Samsung soundbar and wireless subwoofer

Hi I own this LG TV http/www.lg.com/ca_en/tvs/lg-42PT350-plasma-tv and am looking for a decent sound bar around $300. Today I bought this Samsung bar http/www.samsung.com/us/video/home-theater/HW-F450/ZA but now I feel dumb because I don't know if it works with my tv. I don't think my TV has Bluetooth. Also what is the optimal connection for your audio system? Optical or HDMI?

you will need to use optical as most tv's do not have hdmi out but tend to have optical out.

Main question is would this sub woofer work with my tv.

the subwoofer is a wireless component of the sound bar, it communicates with the soundbar not the telly.
