LG TV won’t turn on from remote control but it will turn on when I press the buttons on the TV, it just randomly started thi

My LG 55LF6000 TV randomly stopped being turned on/off by remote control. We have always used the Verizon cable remote to turn the tv on and off with no issue, and now both the tv and cable remotes work fine for everything except turning the tv off and on. The physical button on the bottom of the tv still turns it on or off, I have no idea what the problem could be.

Can you do other things on the TV with the remote?

Yes, I can do everything else on both remote controls

First I would try and unplug the TV and let it sit for a while....15 minutes+....then repower and try it.

If that didn't work I might look at updating the firmware if you don't have the latest version.

I left the TV unplugged overnight but no success, I’ll try updating the firmware now
