[citation][nom]Scarecrow72[/nom]Sorry but this doesn't mean illegal copies. Just means they ripped a dvd they had in their possession to make it easier to access[/citation]

it does mean its a pirate yes as avatar isnt out on dvd yet so its a screener or cam is it not ? 😉

I don't even like the term "piracy"...it sounds dark and negative, I prefer the term "sharing" because that's exactly what it is. Most movies I've downloaded I already paid to see at the movies (and paid handsomely if you count the transportation costs to and from, the pop-corn/drinks, and the movie ticket), so we have the moral right to share the movie afterwards!

[citation][nom]MMXMonster[/nom]Scarecrow72 :"Sorry but this doesn't mean illegal copies. Just means they ripped a dvd they had in their possession to make it easier to access"Your so right, 'cuz when I rip my own movies I like to put REPACK in the filename to let me know I must have done it before and let's not forget CiM... the initials to who??[/citation]Who says you can't download it from someone else? As long as you own it your golden, this is plastered all over distribution sites especially for MAME.

Lol no. You don't have the rights to share the movie afterwards.

Personally, Operating System developers should be held accountable for this nonsense. It was their implementation of the copy and paste commands. They should be fined for every file downloaded/transfered/ripped that the big boys deem illegal. And that's all I have to say about this.

To those that say "well what if they made their own files from movies they own?" Two things are at work here: The DMCA prohibits you from decrypting the DVDs you own since the decryption process itself is a violation. So, making a copy other than an exact duplicate is a legal grey area. Second, they show one of the movies tagged with 'CiM' (a ripping group) which means the TV owner either downloaded this file from a torrent, or they are the ones ripping the movies under the CiM moniker. Either way, a bit of a no-no.

[citation][nom]Dirtman73[/nom]Dude, both The Incredibles and The Aviator are awesome movies. What the hell have you been watching lately to make you so jaded?Never heard of Apple, though. That one may suck.[/citation]

Errr, those movies blow goats and are a perfect example of the trash coming out of Hollywood.

Just Wondering But Who Rips A DVD And Names It With The Audio Type And Disc Number For Personal Use? I Don't Unless I Was Planning On Sharing With Uninformed People.

Now why dont you go join operation human shield and eat a bullet so the rest of us intelligent folk can go on being useful in society.

Listen people, enough with the semantics. The pirate bay tried taunting authorities and look where it got them. We all know these movies on the LG set are pirate copies downloaded via torrent. Dont draw the ire of powerful interests by mocking them and playing games trying to claim the movies might be legit copies.

The implications of this discovery could be potentially quite large if you think about it. Whomever was responsible for gathering screen caps of the LG software likely wasnt doing so from their living room at home. These shots were most likely taken IN HOUSE, at an actual LG facility, meaning the movies exist IN HOUSE, at an actual LG facility. This means LG has pirate copies of these movies floating around their network, which begs to question; what else do they have?

Good thing they are not a U.S. headquartered company, although this could still get messy if the MPAA really wants to make it so, as they are fully capable.

And speaking of big businesses awash in piracy, a buddy of mine is a software developer for a company employing roughly 2000 people, and says they have a massive shared network system of mp3's, in the thousands, that employee's just chill listening too all day long at their whim. Wow eh?
