Line without backlight on laptop screen.

I've noticed a dim line on the upper right side of my laptop. I can still see my cursor underneath the dim line and already did a couple of tests like going into BIOS (still there, indicating HW problem) and using an external monitor (not there, GPU/driver is okay). Could this be an inverter or backlight lamp replacement only?

It's more likely an issue with the LCD screen, if it was a bad inverter or backlight you would see the whole screen or a big part of it very faint.

Hey, just updating for the sake of people having the same problem. My LCD needed to be replaced. It was a factory defect on my HP Omen 15t.
