Logitech Z623 Subwoofer making a crackling sound.

So my Logitech Z623 subwoofer has been doing good but it isn't anymore after 3 hours of playing songs at 100% on the speakers, 100% on the computer and 100% song adjustment on itunes. When i go below to hear my subwoofer it makes crackling noises on the front.

Most amplifiers (especially inexpensive ones) start to experience clipping and distortion as your get close to the maximum output. When this happens it is very easy to damage a speaker. I'd 1st check to see if your connections are tight, also try hooking the speakers up to another source (an ipod or mp3 player maybe). If it is still crackling, you may have damaged the speaker.
