Looking for a ~$2500 laptop

Before you ask yes it has to be a laptop. I travel quite a bit and I need a better laptop than what I have now. I want to be able to record games and to live stream (I have a 200 down and 20 up at home). I was looking at the Razer Blade Pro but I heard it's not a good laptop for the price. Please help!!

Good reviews but a last gen model with 3rd gen processor and a gpu that's 2 gens old already. If you've got the $2500 to spend, get something current with intel 4th gen processors

The above laptop is good, but I actually found another one that has a slightly slower processor (You won't even notice it, the real benefit comes with the upgraded Intel graphics, but you wont' be using it!), but it has more RAM (overkill, actually), and a much better GPU that will play anything you can throw at it today in ultra settings at 1080p. Check out the tested games for each GPU, you'll see how the 860M is just barely enough to play in high, but the 880M will allow you ultra in almost all games:

Laptop processory typically run slower to reduce power consumption. Also, GHz isn't everything, processor architecture, cores, and instruction sets play a huge role in how well a processor performs. What exact processor is your desktop?

Meh, who cares if the brand isn't popular, you buy what's advertised, good tech, if you honestly believe it'll fail in one year, buy worse tech that's main brand.

I'm sure Aorus have a warranty period, but if OP isn't happy with it, he can always get a drop/spill/failure warranty through square-trade for about $200 - $250. Still a better deal than anything you can get through Alienware, Lenovo, MSI, HP, Asus, and etc.

I just pointed out an MSI laptop with a GPU that's two steps above Aorus, so no it's not a better deal than anything you can get from them. The Aorus may have a better benchmarked processor but almost all of that is due to the integrated graphics being better. Everything else on the MSI was better or on par. It's actually a different processor, although admittedly, the passmark is only marginally in favor of the Aorus

Pretty big meh, I wouldn't say it's better or worse, it has almost the same specs, still doesn't blow the Aorus out of the water, just has a couple extra features.

Also, since OP wants to get the computer for gaming, wouldn't an LED screen do him more justice than an IPS? (As far as response time goes. I actually don't know what the response time is on the Aorus, but the min is 1ms, vs IPS' 5+ms)

As far as RAM goes, anything over 16GB is overkill anyway, so it really doesn't matter. I did notice your specs list 32GB RAM, did you perhaps link the wrong laptop on your post?

GPU is a huge contributor to game performance though, the 860M is a noticeable difference 😉
