Looking for a good gaming headset under 100$

I play alot of games and i recently broke my afterglow head set and im looking for a new one. Any one have a top 5 of headsets and the reason why its in the top 5. I prefer open headsets but closed will work just as well.

A lot of "gaming" headset are terrible, at best. It is usually better to get a good pair of headphones and add on a mic if needed.
Something like this will blow away normal gaming headsets, for way less:

Do these head sets have surround sound? They are over 3 years old. Also I already knew of this kind of propaganda "Gaming" They just jack the price up 30$.

Even my HD201 Sennheisers (were like £20 4 years ago) absolutely blow the balls of the hyped up turtle beach crap! I also spent £50 on some Tritton which had a nice mic but the sound quality on the headphones is terrible.

Hey, I'm also looking for a gaming headset. How you find your headset? Is it comfortable?
