my 2010 macbook pro is getting really slow and it cant game so i decided i need a replacement. im a huge pc gamer so i want it to be able to play anything from surgeon simulator to bf3-bf4 at decent settings with decent fps. im also a student and ill be using it for school so i dont want it to be to heavy to carry around in a backpack, but its not a big priority. i also would like it to be smaller then 17 inches if possible.if you need any more info on what i need let me know

I would suggest the MSI GE60 2OE-003US - http://www.msimobile.com/level3_productpage.aspx?cid=6&id=405
It has i7-4700MQ, NVIDIA GTX 765M, 8gb ram, 750gb hardrive, sound blaster audio, killer E2200 network card. I think this is the best laptop to get regardless of price, but luckily it is at your price range. It has a 15.6inch screen and weighs 5.28lbs

New egg even has it for $1,199, so you will be able to get a good mouse and a head set to. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152406

The other option I would suggest is the AMD version. Tom's Hardware has done a review here. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gx60-gaming-laptop-radeon-hd-7970m,3478.html

The main difference is the intel has the better processor and the amd has the better graphics card. The amd processor does hold back the gpu to an extent. When under normal use the amd one has like 6 hours of battery life where I think the intel only has around 3 hours. The amd one also is slightly heavier at over 7 pounds.

I suggest you take a look at the review for the amd one and make your decision from there.
