Hello,

I was thinking of a new laptop, but my dad suggested I should consider spending the money on a better graphics card.

I'm looking for something that can run Autodesk software and 3D rendering on high settings because I am starting Architecture at university next month.
Also a graphics card that can run games without gittering/low fps. (I play GTA V on lowest possible settings which still gitters and takes time to load surroundings etc)

At the moment I have a ASUS X550CC-XO168H notebook.
Specs are as follows:

Intel® Core™ i7-3537U Dual Core Processor
15.6" HD Screen
Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-bit
8GB DDR3 RAM
1000GB HDD
Dedicated GT 720M 2GB Graphics
USB3 | HDMI
X550CC-XO168H

Is my notebook compatible with any other graphics card or is it stuck with the model only?

If its able to use another graphics card, which one would be the best for 3D rendering/ Gaming etc?

The price range i'm really not sure about at the moment but i'm open to suggestions.

I have contacted Nvidia asking them what graphics card would be compatible with this notebook and they redirected me to ASUS. I've emailed ASUS and have been waiting for some time for a response so I decided to ask here because I find alot of answer on this forum (Saved me alot of times)

Thank you for reading and hope to hear back soon.
