Hey Guys,

i'm in Year 10 in an Australian school so it's basically the last year of high school and next 2 years is college. In College i will be doing a Cert 2 in IT and maybe a Cert 3 down the track. I work at KFC lol so not a great huge payout but decent..... My current laptop is the most oldest thing ever lol it has 1GB of RAM..... I never use it only for back up emergencies, So it's time for an upgrade.

I have done a bit of research for some laptops but now days there's so many selections like intergrated GPU's different CPU's unlike say in 2008 where there where the limited AMD and Intel processors,

i was thinking ASUS at first but their price limit for the specs i need is a bit far fetched in my opinion over priced.

i'm willing to spend $780 or lower preferably $650 mark or even lower because it will take me a while to save up.

I have found a Lenovo G505S but i can't find anywhere to buy it other than Amazon which Australian Amazon is just books/e-books.

Then i found this i would go with the 2GB dedicated RAM one but unsure about "lenovo"

Anyone know any like that with Same specs or an intel based laptop with integrated graphics in Australia

Hey Man,

That is basically what i want but i'm unsure how well Intel HD Graphics 4000 holds up, i will probs be using blender and photoshop, which both those are very CPU demanding but require a pretty solid graphics processor. and i won't be using it for top notch games maybe Crysis 1 and 2 and or BF4 which really don't care what FPS it runs at unless its lower than 30 lol on low settings

Here's a chart that shows how the HD 4000 graphics performs compared to other graphics cards. It's not great but at the price you're looking at, no other graphics is going to perform better, so your best option is to get the best processor you can get.

Personally I wouldn't go for a touch screen. They are heavier, more expensive and who wants fingerprints on their screen?
