I'm planning on buying a Laptop next month, please don't recommend me alienware, I just need a laptop that's twice as better than my current one, yes it will be under heavy load due to gaming online, budget is anywhere from $500-$1200 USD. (bigger screen is also acceptable 15-18")
Current computer runs with the following:
Intel core i5 3210M Dual core @ 2.50Ghz
DDR3 8Gb Ram
AMD Radeon HD 7550M/7650M Graphics.
anything i miss please let me know, thanks guys :)

hello there any core I7 4th gen is better than your 3rd gen I5 now as for brands im not really particular to one or the other but i will list some options for you and let you decide

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834232195

that one is in between your budget and will play games

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152711

that one is at the high end or over your budget but will play games better than the other one and its a 2015 model

those are 2 of my choices depending on your budget hope this helps

I can honestly say that ASUS is not bad, I've booked marked it. but that Msi is to much of an over kill for me haha.
I'm still browsing around, let me know if u have any more. much appreciated.

your welcome asus and MSI are really my only picks as far as brands go cause i have heard the lenovo y50 has a terrible screen built into it and alienware is just alienware and i have never used any other brands like sager or gigabyte the bad thing with budget laptops is cooling the MSI GE60 has only one fan and exaust vent which means it will get hotter there are maybe 2 other asus model i could show you in your price range but that MSI is your best bang for the buck when it comes to cheaper gaming laptops(even though its above your price range)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834232222

that model has a 256gb ssd and 16gb of stock ram whereas the one i linked earlier only has 8gb and a regular SSD

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834231974

that one has a lower end graphics card than the other 2 asus models i linked but also is the cheapest of them all

any other questions feel free to ask
