Looking for a Laptop - UK

Hi all,

I'm looking for laptop as my old advent 8212 12" has just about packed up.
There was alot of bad press about them but I have had mine since dec 2007 and never had a problem with it until now.

Problems :
- keeps shutting down randomly
- battery not charging ( its the charging board not the battery)
- USB ports are all loose and keep disconnecting

These were the old specs:

CPU Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 (1.80GHz)

Now it cost me £600 then and its specs were good for the time.
Its my birthday soon and I'm splashing out for a new one.

I'm looking to spend about the same ( £600 )
But I'd like

: core i5
:4gb Ram at least
😀edicated Graphics AMD or Nvidia
:14"- 15.6"

I do play a few games- Fallout 3/ new vegas/ skyrim.

I've been hunting for a few days and I'm not impressed with whats out there to be honest.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a laptop with these features for £600?

Within that budget,don't expect to find a gaming laptop.
One of the best choices I found was this

It's got GT 520M which is a low end card,so it can handle those games fine on med/low settings

Good find WR2. NSSL 15" seems the best choice for the OP (considering he can pay the extra cost which is IMO well worth it)

I have sold my old lappy on ebay and got just over £100 for it so that ASUS NSSL is mine!

That's a great find, good job.

Asus makes high quality stuff, too. All the stuff I've had my hands on from them was solid.
