Solved! Looking for a solution to battery issue

I have 2 years old HP laptop.The problem is charging is not continues ,it's like charging for 1 min and stopping for another minute and goes on...it won't reach 100%. After unplugging chrger when it is at 97% ,the charging last for only 1 hr or even less time .please help me to fix this !.
 
Solution
Three sources can be blamed.
1) the adapter can not deliver stable voltage
2) the battery is on its last legs
3) the charger circuits do not operate as desired

The adapter and the battery can be replaced, the circuit board usually not. Try to find a service or a friend with a similar laptop and interchange the adapter/ battery to find out which one is faulty.
