looking for a way to hook a cord phone to a laptop

I found an old cord phone you know the ones that would be hung on the wall in my closet and was wondering how i can go about hooking it up and making it useable from my laptop so i can make phone calls from it and not have to worry about always using my home phone from my provider can someone help me?
