Looking for a way to secure files

I have a folder located on my families home computer containing some videos that I would not like my family stumbling upon. Both my parents aren't exactly the most competent PC users but they're not stupid either. I'm just looking for some way to protect the files so only I can access them. I would preferably like a free program, but if its highly rated/favourable I wouldn't mind spending a little bit of cash.

Move the files to a flash drive and delete them from your Mom's computer.

I thought of doing just that, but unfortunately my parents have, in the past, used my flash-drive without my permission. Thankfully at the time all I had on it was homework related files.

Change file names of these files to obscure the fact they are movies, and put them in password-protected zip file.
