Looking for advice

hello , i am looking to buy my niece a laptop , she is 14 atm , like playing minecraft, sims, league of legends, wow sometimes. Her comp is getting old and her parents can not afford much in the way of pcs, i figured the mobility of the laptop would be better , with school and such as well . I have asked and gotten a few brands of laptops aruond the 1000 dollar range but i was really hoping to keep it between 600-800 if possible. Any advice on brand , spec, so i can get this purchased for my niece would be great help . thank you.

I've recommended Asus for as long as I can remember, and they've never disappointed. For less than $800, this would be my recommendation.

I would also recommend that laptop but I would lower the specs as it is a bit overkill. I would downgrade the cpu to an i5, maybe get rid of the dvd ray drive and put an ssd to improve boot times if she doesn't watch any movies using a dvd.
