Looking for an inexpensive gaming laptop

Is the Lenovo Laptop with AMD Quad-Core A8-6410 Processor a good gaming laptop? I am interested in playing games such as halo and dota and am wondering if this would be a laptop that could support these games and others like it

Which Lenovo laptop? Do you means the Flex 2 for around $525 - $550? The A8-6410 is an ok APU. The processing power is basically similar to a low end Core i3 CPU and the Radeon R5 (Beema) GPU core is almost equal to the Intel HD 4200.


I recommend the Lenovo ThinkPad E555 for $455. It comes with the A6-7000 APU, but I recommend upgrading it to the A8-7100 APU with the Radeon R5 (Kaveri) graphics core which brings the price to $483. The A8-7100 processing power is about the same as a moderate Core i3 CPU and the graphics core is about equal to the Intel HD 4600 which gives a pretty good performance increase over the Intel HD 4200 and Radeon R5 (Beema); probably around 25% - 30%. Upgrading to the A10-7300 will bump up the price to $636 because it automatically adds the Radeon R7 M260 graphics chip to the laptop with 2GB of dedicated video RAM.

Because it only comes standard with 4GB of RAM I recommend you upgrade to 8GB. It will cost you $80 through Lenovo. However, I recommend you buy a stick of 4GB RAM and install it yourself since it will be a lot cheaper. Get the following stick for $33.
