Hello everyone,
This is my first time I ever posted here so I hope I did everything correctly. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knows of a laptop that's like an ultrabook, but without the touchscreen.
I will be entering college next semester as a CS major so I'll be using this to do a bunch of programming. I don't plan to do any real gaming on here so I obviously don't care about graphics. I want a laptop that's not bulky or heavy and has a long battery life. I'm hoping I can get an i7 with 6+ gigs of ram. i5 is fine also. I hear i5's are better in my situation, too. Not 100% on this. 500+GB TB or 256SSD. I prefer the SSD over TB.
I'm almost looking for a windows machine equivalent of the 2013 MacBook air. That think can last over 8 hours with medium workload! 256SSD,8gb,i5 and very sleek.
I definitely am not getting the mac book air because it's expensive. I know I can get the same specs at a cheaper price with windows. Plus I am sure almost everyone will be running windows on campus. I hope to keep this under $1000. Maybe between 700 and 800?
Also, please recommend a laptop that is very reliable. I've read that many people would have problems with wifi with many ultrabooks I was looking at.
Thanks everyone!
