500$ Brand new laptop for gaming, wow. Are you okay with Intel Integrated Graphics? The cheapest you can decently game on with dedicated GPU is the lenovo (r9 m270) y40 for ~720$ and many other notebooks at 900$ or 1100$ with an 860m. Then there's the 870m at ~1400$ or more and 880m at 1800$ or more

you'll have to buy a refurbished or used laptop and even then, nobody is selling their laptops with 7XXm 8XXm GPUs, you'll have to wait atleast till the next 9XX series or even the one after

Just have a look here and take it as an example

Yes I am fine with IGP cards but I am more interested in AMD type notebooks since they come with radeon cards. Or are notebooks with intel hd cards better?

Oh, well, that was actually sarcasm and I was hoping you'd get it :p. Anyway, For what I can see I assume you don't have much experience, all I can tell you is not to expect running Watch Dogs, Bioshock Infinite and Metro Last Light on Ultra at 60fps with four 4k monitors. It will barely run mass effect 3 at low at 768p and probably at 1080p with some lagg

It is actually very well for that budget and from what I can see it will run skyrim, cod ghosts and even bioshock infinite at 720p with lowest resolutions http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-820M.108477.0.html
