I purchased the ATH-AD700X for the low bass and large sound stage so that i could pinpoint footsteps while gaming. I recently got into streaming and noticed that the open ear headphones were bleeding through into my microphone. I was looking for a good pair of closed ear headphones that offer something similar to the AD700x. These will only be used for gaming so pinpointing sounds is what I'm after. Also any recommendations for a dac/amp would be appreciated (if necessary) as I'm just using my Strix Z370-H Gaming audio.

The MSR7s are highly regarded for gaming. Sharp, accurate and precise are how I usually hear them described.

Then there's the Sennheiser HD 569 which is the same as the 598 CS.

Or something like the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO. The 250 ohm version sounds the best but it needs an amp.

For gaming and use with a mic get a good sound card with a headphone amp. There's also specialty stuff like the GSX 1000 but it's more expensive.
