Solved! Looking for cpu upgrade for toshiba satellite p10-554, to install Windows 10

Hi, I want to upgrade my old laptop, either to run windows 10, or android or even some linux varient.

I've got myself a pata-msata converter, to speed disk access, memory is a problem as only has 1.25gb ram, processor not capable or running win 10, & have had no joy trying to run android or installer or what linux to try.

Any advice greatfully received.

Get another laptop.
A pata to sata converter won't really help outside of being able to use a faster disk, it won't make the actual disk interface to the system faster.
$100-150 will get you a used system with a Core i3 or i5 CPU that will run Windows 10. Lenovo T410, 420, X201 are all good, have good Linux support.
