Hey! As the title states, I am thinking about buying myself a new computer.
This time Im gonna do it right! So I want a laptop where I can not only play games on, but also enjoy it with high/full quality.
I am also a heavy editor, and love to edit in After Effects, which takes alot of power to perform right.

So anyways. I'd love it if someone could help me out. Im totally new on laptops, and dont know what to look for other than that I've heard Haswell i7 is gonna be the way to go for gamers/editors now.

The specs Im looking for in a machine is:
- Haswell i7
- 15" or bigger screen
- 1080p
- Within my pricerange up till ~1870$ / 1410€ / 1217£
Thats about it.

What I usually use my time on the pc for, is multitasking a game such as WoW or BF with skype, After Effects and music in the background.

I've been looking at MSI, and they seams to have alot of good computers comming out with the new processor, but then again they're pricy! I'd love to hear what you think about MSI aswell!

I thank you for your time, and hopefully someone has some more experience in the field of laptops than myself!

Solution
Hows an I7 Haswell + GTX 770 and 16GB Memroy do (£1206)?
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1lRwt

or

Amd FX-8450 + HD7970 Ghz Edition + 16Gb memory (£1130) ?
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1lRCs

both should do what you want. the intel do be the quickest. but with the money you save on the amd you could get a bigger hard drive or a SSD to put your OS and programs on ?

personally i would pick the intel and add a SSD later if i wanted to.
Hope this helps. please feel free to change things or ask me questions :)

That actually looked pretty nice. You'd recomend this for my use? I dont see any good reviews on it.
I need a really strong one, as I am a heavy pc user. But then again, it looks awesome

it's a new haswell i7. which only came out in the last 2 months. so i don't tink many people will have one yet. but saying that it ticks all the boxes for what ever you want to do on a pc. fast mobile i7. great graphics lots off memory (16GB) and all that power running off a SSD for extra speed loading your apps.

It should be able to run all current games on max settings and will do picture and video editing with no problems. only down side for me would be the windows 8.

i can only find about 3 reviews on it but worst review was 85% and best gave it a 90%. personally i would i would go for it if i had the money and needed a high end laptop. but if your not sure why not start a new forum asking people what they think about it :)

Thanks! You really made me think hard about this pc.
And yes, I'll do the thread with credits to you :) Unless I get some shitty reviews on it, I will probably buy it within days.
Thank you so much! :)
