Good afternoon,

I have a very old, almost 10 years now, Dell laptop that is limping to the barn as I've barely kept it alive replacing virtually everything but the motherboard, optical drive, and case. Looking to upgrade to a laptop powerful enough for multitasking at work and with a decent GPU for mid to low gaming, specifically World of Warcraft. I build my own desktops but need a laptop at work plus while I am at it might as well spend a little more if at all for the perk of being able to play World of Warcraft. This has always been the go-to site for me for years.

1. What is your budget?
-Under $500 and the lower the better without finding myself in the same barely tolerable performance benchmark.

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
-Doesn't matter. Current is enormous and very heavy so anything is an upgrade. Also have no problem with bigger screen and weight, does not need to be portable per se and happily sacrifice same for performance.

3. What screen resolution do you want?
-Doesn't matter.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
-Desktop replacement. For instance my chrome book would never work for what I need.

5. How much battery life do you need?
-Doesn't matter, plug almost always available.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
-Only World of Warcraft, low if the price is right but medium would be nice.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
-Word, excel, PDFs, Chrome with gmail inbox beta.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
-At least 200GB but I upgraded the HD in my current laptop which I can also slap into the new one.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
-Amazon for prime shipping and points (www.amazon.com) or Newegg for general reliability and pricing (www.Newegg.com) but not picky or a deal breaker. Bought from eBay, tiger direct, and slick deal listings before.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
-Basic DVD-Rom, don't even need a burner.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
-Always liked Toshiba and Acer plus read good things about Lenovo. No strong preference though.

13. What country do you live in?
-USA

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
-Just thought I would post here first rather than mucking through it on my own then having to browse the forums here anyway when I run into too many obstacles or questions.
