I am currently running on a Sony Vaio VPCCW21FX that has been a very...decent computer since owning it. I recently installed 2x4GB of memory and an SSD in it, hoping that I would see some significant performance improvements. Performance gains have been noticeable, but I think I still want a computer with a faster processor and some better graphics.
All that being said, are there any computers out there that come with a high end GPU and CPU, but low end HDD and memory?
[strike]Not really. Laptops generally highlight cpu/gpu performance and "throw in" larger hdd's and memory.[/strike]
Edit - read it wrong the first time.
Lenovo and others make several laptops with highend gpu/cpu combos, including discrete graphics. However, the pricing is based on those items and buying one with the intention of re-using your memory and ssd would probably not be worth what you have to pay at the outset.
