Asus laptops are generally pretty powerful laptops for the price you pay (I have one, and it's been a good quality laptop). Maybe something like the ASUS G51VX? The only thing it doesn't seem to fit with your description is that it's a flashy looking laptop, and it might be a little higher priced than your budget. It should at least give you a good starting point though.

Here are some points you'll want to consider in your search:

- You'll want to have a dedicated card if you're planning on playing games.
- For a higher performing laptop (especially with a 7200RPM drive), 2 hours is probably the most you'll get out of a battery.
- Newegg is a good place to search and get an idea of what you're looking at. You can use the Power Search function to really get good search results, then take those results to whatever site you plan on purchasing from.

Hope that helps.

After few days of searching I ended with these three:

1.Toshiba P300-225 SK (http://www.datacom-ke.sk/toshiba-p300-225-sk_d39582.html)

I don`t like that 1 440 x 900 max ress, as I didn`t use it at table pc(21 flat screen).Does it look good for 17 screen and do the games support this one?
Another con is only 5400 rpm hdd.

2.HP Pavilion dv7-2190 (http://www.datacom-ke.sk/hp-pavilion-dv7-2190-vc008ea-akb-_d42578.html)

Another 5400 rpm however the resolution changes to 1 600 × 900.Btw I read some bad things about HP notebooks on the internet, especialy those with nvidia cards.Anybody know anything about this?

3.ASUS M60VP (http://www.datacom-ke.sk/asus-m60vp-6x049c-_d42285.html)

Finaly 7200 rpm disk!:) L2 down to 2MB and FSB down to 800mhz(not that big difference, is it?).16 screen with only 1366x768 :(

-----

Each one has atu 4650 1gb ddr3(guess this is the best one I can get for around 1000 euro) :/

yeah this one looks pretty good,
http://www.datacom-ke.sk/acer-aspire-8935g-664g32wn-lx-pdb0x-117-_d43657.html
the ddr3 on the videocard should help a lot with the game you want
I'm not so sure about the processor though

you should look for benchmarks and see which one is better:
c2d t6600 + ati 4670 ddr3 or
c2d p8400 + ati 4650 ddr2
from what I see, I would go with DDR3
