Looking To Buy New Laptop In Next Couple Months

1. What is your budget? Minimum $1200, max about $1600 but flexible

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 15.6", but can go 17.3" but no larger

3. What screen resolution do you want? Minimum 1080P, but would prefer 1440P or 4K

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? No

5. How much battery life do you need? About 2.5 hours minimum

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? I don't really play games on my laptop because I have 2 desktops so the settings don't really matter

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) Interested in sound editing for podcast production

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? At least 1TB, would prefer if a SSD was included

MSI GE72 is a great laptop. On 3DMARK, it receives a score of 11 517 which is an average for a gaming PC with oculus rift support. This laptop will most likely will stay together for 3 years, probably more.

It's definitely the least expensive of everything I've been looking at so far, but I also came across this Sager NP series: http/www.sagernotebook.com/cart_customize.php?productindex=1

This one has a pretty good combination of components and performance that I'm looking for. I don't really care about Oculus support since if I do decide to get one I will be using my desktop for that.
