Looking to get a Dash Cam

I have no clue about these things. I'm just wanting a simple one that is good quality, that doesn't need a lot of attention and all for a low price. I'm having to do something with my car I've been able to avoid for a great many years, and that is bring it to a shop to get some work done to it. I try and do all the work to it myself but I have no choice in this situation but to bring it into a shop. I have seen many horror stories online where the mechanics have taken out customer's cars and thrashed them and I would like a bit of a deterrent to that. My car is one of those cars you would expect to see someone taking out for a joyride.

And it would be nice to have a camera in the car running while my car was parked in case someone hits it and leaves without a note. I park well away from other cars to prevent this, but you never can be too sure.

Anyway, what are some good options for my case? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I personally use the Marbella KR6 for both of my cars. They are virtually undetectable from the outside and are pretty good. They are slightly pricey, but completely worth the cost. Plus, there are no cables, so it looks good.

Comes with the usual host of features such as motion detection and what not.
