lost phone google timeline

Hi everyone I have misplaced my phone and was checking through my google timeline and it seems quite acurate with my home being the last place about an hour ago ( I was home from that time). Why i ask this is cause if this is true, I most probably just misplaced it around the house than left it somewhere during the day . Is google timeline accurate?
