M18X R2 Graphics card replacement

Hi All, I have a M18X R2 with two HD7979Ms but suspect one of them is faulty as the two outputs are not in sync - i.e. vertical hold roll in appearance. HD 7970Ms are hard to come by now it seems. Does anyone know of a more current replacement? Thanks

i don't believe that you even can replace them, i think they are solderer to the board, but if they are not an 970m might work, don't quote me on that though

Hi, Thanks for the suggestion. I might just bite the bullet and buy an HD7970M from China - probably the lowest-cost option in the end.

I don't believe the cards are soldered in.
