M5A99FX Pro R2.0 Audio Options

Hey guys,
I'm not very good with audio and want to connect my 5.1 speakers (ss-sr50 is one of them) to my computer. My old receiver didn't have outputs so I am going to get another on the inexpensive side ($100 to spend). Can you guys recommend a receive? SPDIF is only 2 channel, but with the encoding option available in this board can I still use this connection and get decent surround? Which option is better DTS Connect or DTS UltraPC II? I cant find much on either. thanks for the help in advance

nvmd recommending a receiver. Instead I mainly want to know how to hook it up. What will give me the best quality using the options on this mother board? Should I use optical or 2.5mm outputs for 5.1 surround? thanks
