Sophos sounded good until I read their privacy policy. By using Sophos, the user basically implicitly agrees Sophos can take any personal info it wants from your device "without limitation" via background contact with device, and can pass info on to businesses all over the world without limitation and without further notice to you. Perhaps Sophos is being more honest in it's "priviacy" statement (that provides no privacy at all that I can see) than others do take same actions more stealthily. I am floored. Without limitation! And the share permission from there basically means it can be given to anyone Sophos desires under the umbrella of "providing services." I haven't yet reviewed privacy statements for the other anti-virus programs reviewed, but I confess to being shaken by Sophos.
