Macbook Pro freezes, clicks a few times, then restarts. Frequently.

I have a Macbook Pro 13" (Late 2011 model) running OS X 10.10.5 (Yosemite).
Recently it has been restarting itself without warning. I am usually in the middle of a youtube video or making a mix in a DJ software when it happens.
The screen will freeze, I hear a clicking noise coming from the machine, and it restarts. I get the standard "your computer encountered a problem and had to restart" message after. Often it restarts twice (shuts down, comes alive with the white screen and message, then restarts again after that).
The first time this happened I tried to restart and got the 3 clicks that indicated poorly seated RAM, but since then this hasn't occurred again. A few days ago and reseated the RAM to see if it would fix anything, but no luck.

the clicking noise is the hard drive.

since u still get a signal I'm sure your hard drive broke.
the best thing u can do is going with a 850 evo ssd.

you will need to make a bootable ssd (use another pc for it) youtube how to make a bootable usb for mac (u need a 8gb usb).


before u do that try theist restore your hdd : i hope it fixes it

I tried repairing the HDD, but Disc Utility said the drive were fine. Does a faulty logic board make clicks?

Yes it does still freeze up sometimes. Once I was watching a youtube video when it happened. The audio of the video was replaced with clicking sounds, purple streaks appeared on the screen, and after being frozen for a few minutes the computer restarted.

I've had this macbook for almost 4 years now.
