Magnavox tv/dvd player doesn't work

I've got a small Magnavox tv/dvd player. The DVD player doesn't work anymore I got a portable dvd player hooked up to the TV. There isn't a place for the red connection wire on the tv. I have no sound, nothing. What do I do
