Hey has anyone had any experiences with Maingear laptops? I am currently looking at a Nomad 17, specifications below, any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated. I would especially like to hear from someone who either owned or owns one? What's the quality like? Customer service? Is maingear a solid company? Would you buy from Maingear over Xotic PC?

it looks like another small botique builderl, seems a little pricey even with all that, i hope they deliver on the CS end (that's what you're paying for)

Thanks for your interest in MAINGEAR! FYI, we've been in business for a decade now, not so "small" - and have won every major industry award out there, including a CES Design and Innovations awards for our flagship desktop.

I think you'll find that our Nomad 17 spec-for-spec is a better value considering our pedigree, price to performance, and the automotive paintjob we include at no extra charge. We have our own spray booth and our painters have over 30 years combined experience and we only use the finest Glasurit paint.
