Even then, If I was Facebook's lawyers I would go after all that. No way he should profit from his nefarious activities.

These morons create a lot of work and cost to companies with their dirty advertising. Where are the BSA and other idiots when talking about the REAL cost of dealing with spammers and the like?

I think it has less to do with greed and more to do with setting a precedent so these things don't happen again. Clearly Facebook doesn't need the money, and I don't believe they ever expected him to cough up that kind of money. Mark Zuckerberg rents a very modest house, clearly he doesn't care about the money. What it does do, however, is put a word out there to spammers that these situations will be taken seriously.
