Max RAM Capacity for Dell 15-3552

Can I use 8 GB DDR3L RAM in Dell 15-3552. I read somewhere that the maximum limit is 4 GB

Thanks @Jarotech. I too read that article earlier. I was wondering why that 4GB limit and whether it had anything to do with the motherboard limitation. I have not been able to get anywhere on that. For the moment I will stick with 4GB.

BTW I ran the command sudo dmidecode -t 16 on my terminal and it states that the max capacity is 8 GB. Now this gets as confusing as ever. Wonder why there is no official note on this. A real bummer

Both processors (Celeron or Pentium) you may have in your laptop, they could manage the 8GB of RAM, but the manufacturer may limit the maximum at 4GB. You can try the 8GB if you are sure to return it if is not operating at 8GB.
