Hi all,

I got an LG BP-325 3D player and using a 16GB USB pen drive with it to play digital content. (Along with some blu-rays)
Now the capacity is not much enough so I researched to buy a new external HDD. A lot of people are saying external HDDs are a big no no since the players cannot power them.

So I was thinking of buying a 64/ 128 GB USB pen for the purpose. Right now this size is enough for me and the cost is also low, but my players manual doesn't mention anything about the size of the USB sticks.

Does anyone using this types of large pens with your blu-ray players? My blu-ray player might be uncommon so I'm also interested in general comments as well.

Thanks in advance!

External USB drives (as opposed to pen drives) have their own power supply so are not powered through the USB connection. The only issue will be that the drive be formatted to be compatible with the BD player.

Is it? I believe only the 3.5 drives are self powered, All the 2.5 external drives has to be powered through USB, I might be wrong though.
The other thing is that the local stores only got 2.5 drives (WD my passport etc)
