I spilt water near but i dont think on top of my laptop. I can't remember. The laptop was on when i woke up in the morning. Everything would work except the rfg45b area of the keyboard. Where if i pressed it, it would not stick but on the screen it would put a bunch of random letters in. I reset my laptop then it goes to the

THINKPAD

PRESS ENTER TO GO TO SCREEN

A PRODUCT OF LENOVO

Then the screen goes black, i've tried to press f8 and enter but nothing works.

a) Is there damage in my graphics driver

or

b) Is there damage in my key board that is causing a malfunction.

Help please.

Computer specs:

Lenovo G50

1 and a half years.

Hi,

I would suggest disconnecting the ribbon cable that connect the keyboard to the motherboard first then connect an external USB keyboard then see if the same problem will persist or not. If it will work normally that means it's just the keyboard that has the problem and causing all the issues. But if the same problem will persist, I would suggest opening the laptop and check if there are anything damaged or got wet inside that can be causing the problem.
